Bebo Lowery-Born became vice president of finance in March 2005. In that role, she oversees an operating division that includes the company's actuarial research, accounting, underwriting, AICK operations, and continuous quality management engineering departments. She also is president of Advance Insurance Company of Kansas (AICK), and serves as treasurer for BCBSKS.
The Dodge City native joined the company in 1968. She earned degrees from both Kansas State University and Washburn University. She is a certified managerial accountant and holds the designation of fellow from the Academy for Healthcare Management.
She is a member of the board of directors for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Foundation, New Directions Behavioral Health, and also is a member of the Institute of Management Accounting and the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce. Lowery-Born serves as treasurer of the United Way of Greater Topeka.- Back -
