Title: Communications Coordinator, #2013138

Job Summary:
The Communications Coordinator writes, produces, manages and coordinates the production of Blue Shield newsletters and manuals to all professional providers under all Blue Shield programs, both on paper and through various electronic media such as Intranet and Internet. In addition, communicates changes, revisions and new information relating to all policies and procedures under all Blue Shield programs. Coordinates interdepartmental communications as assigned by management and supervises the department clerk.

Required:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Broad knowledge of journalistic form, word usage and layout techniques.

  • Must have ability to maintain and organize publication archives, which is searchable and deliverable in its native design. This includes implementing new technologies to increase effectiveness, as they become available.
  • Responsible for attendance at and participation in teams or meetings, that will affect the Professional Relations Department or workflow processes established by the Communication Coordinator position.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter who develops efficient procedures to eliminate waste and maximize resources.

Job Summary:
This position is within the Mainframe and UNIX infrastructure area of the Information Services division.

Required:

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Reimbursement, develops studies and analyses which serve as the basis for analyzing and modeling reimbursement methods and fiscal impacts. The position provides key data and input for managing the provider payment and reimbursement setting programs for institutions, facilities, and professional healthcare providers. The position develops recommendations for the level of appropriate Maximum Allowable Payments, (MAPS, or fee schedule amounts) for facility and professional healthcare services provided to members. The position designs and implements new reimbursement methods.

Education:
