Specialty Pharmacy

Triessent® – Preferred Specialty Pharmacy
BCBSKS is proud to introduce you to the Triessent Specialty Pharmacy Program. This program is designed to bring a unique, value-added benefit to members who have conditions treated with specialty medications. Specialty medications are generally prescribed to treat complex, chronic (long-term) or rare conditions. Examples include multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C and rheumatoid arthritis.

Participation in this program is voluntary.

Through Triessent, medications and supplies can be delivered to the location most convenient to the member, with no additional cost. In addition, Triessent provides personalized support from a care team by telephone. As part of the program, members receive:

BCBSKS will notify members who have conditions treated with specialty medications about the Specialty Pharmacy Program. Our goal is to help our members get the best results from their prescribed medication therapy. Improving compliance will result in better treatment outcomes and reduce overall health care costs.

Triessent staff will assist members transitioning into the program and answer any questions by calling 888-216-6710. Triessent will also coordinate members' medication coverage with BCBSKS.
