In November 2009, we advised facilities that all Boeing members would use the CAP network effective January 1, 2010 (see newsletter 09-13).  The Boeing Home Plan (Regence) has recently confirmed that some Boeing members use the Blue Choice network. 

Since January 1, 2010, claims submitted for Boeing members whose identification numbers begin with ZLB have processed correctly under the CAP network.  Boeing members whose identification numbers begin with prefix BC, BSZ, and ZLM have processed correctly under the Blue Choice network.  Therefore, no claim adjustments are necessary. 

Providers should request to see the patient's identification card and make a copy for their records.  Boeing claims are processed through BlueCard, so please continue to submit all claims to Blue Cross and Shield of Kansas.
