BCBSKS Altered Payment Schedule  

In order to accommodate NPI implementation and the Memorial Day Holiday, the regular BCBSKS payment schedule is being modified as follows:

• Thursday, May 22, 2008 – Special generation of Remittance Advices (RAs)/835 files and payments in order to clear out claims that don't have effective NPI numbers in the BCBSKS system, prior to NPI Implementation on May 23. Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payments will be deposited May 27.

• Friday, May 23, 2008 – Generation of provider RAs/835 files and payments that would normally occur on Monday, May 26. EFT payments will be deposited May 28.
  NOTE: Beginning May 23, 2008, all providers will receive RAs/835 files showing the billing NPI number instead of the local billing provider number.

• Monday, May 26, 2008 – BCBSKS closed.

• Thursday, May 29, 2008 – Additional generation of RAs/835 files and payments. EFT payments will be deposited June 2.

• Monday, June 2, 2008 - Normal schedule resumes.
