The Spring 2012 Provider Data Audit began on April 10, 2012. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association audits providers on a quarterly basis. The audit is used to validate provider information (e.g., name, address, phone number and specialty) that is currently published on the National Blue Doctor & Hospital Finder website and the FEP Online Provider Directory website. The vendor, Thoroughbred Research, will be calling providers from April 10 through April 23, 2012.
Thoroughbred Research is a contracted vendor of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association for conducting data quality audits.
