Due to a malfunction in the printing of paper checks the regularly scheduled weekly payments by a paper check to our providers will not be sent out as scheduled.
BCBSKS regrets any inconvenience this may cause for our providers and as soon as the problem is resolved the checks will be mailed. BCBSKS expects the checks to be mailed on Thursday, March 7th. Providers should allow 2-3 days for delivery of the checks.
Please note that this does not affect Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. EFT payments will generate and deposit into the provider bank accounts as scheduled on Wednesday, March 6. In addition, this malfunction does not affect Federal Employee Program (FEP) payments.
Electronic remittance advices (RAs) can still be viewed; however, any check date on the RA which reflects a check date of March 1st, 4th or 5th may not be accurate.
