Premier Blue - Access Option

Access Option offers you the freedom to go to the provider of your choice. The level of benefits you receive will depend on the choice you make at the time you receive care.

How the Program Works

With Access Option you are encouraged to coordinate your care with a PCP, selected by you. The doctor you choose as your PCP must be listed as a contracting physician in the Premier Blue provider directory. Care provided to you by a specialist — either upon the recommendation of your PCP, or even if you seek such care on your own — does not require a referral from your PCP to be covered. The amount of payment for covered
services will depend on the network choices you make — inside the network, outside the network or noncontracting.
