Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Earns Second Consecutive Brand Excellence Award for Provider Satisfaction
For the second straight year, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has received a prestigious Brand Excellence Award for provider satisfaction from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), according to leaders from the two organizations. The annual awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies that excel in developing and enhancing the overall Blue Cross and Blue Shield brand image.
“The Blue Cross and Blue Shield brands are the most recognized in the health insurance industry and represent the nation’s oldest and largest family of health benefit companies,” said Scott P. Serota, BCBSA president and CEO. “BCBSA congratulates Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas for its leadership in strengthening the brands that collectively cover the lives of more than 102 million Americans.”
BCBSKS is being recognized with a Brand Excellence Award in the Provider Satisfaction category for receiving the highest rating from its provider network among all Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies.
“Winning this award for a second year is an incredible accomplishment for our employees because it means we have been able to not only maintain but strengthen our award-winning service during the past year,” said Andrew C. Corbin, BCBSKS president/CEO. “Our employees understand that maintaining the largest provider network in our service area is one of our most important services to current and future customers, so they work hard every day to assure that health care providers receive outstanding service, quick and accurate payment for claims, and worthwhile educational programs.
“We are pleased that providers are satisfied with the service that they receive, and all our employees take pride in this accomplishment,” Corbin said.
The Brand Excellence Awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies nationwide in categories that represent Brand Excellence including, attraction of new customers, fostering loyalty to existing customers, expanding the brands into additional lines of products or services, and provider satisfaction.
This marks the seventh overall Brand Excellence Award for BCBSKS, which previously earned awards in 1995-1998, 2001 and 2008.
