Alley Re-elected as Chairman of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Board of Directors
James M. Alley III, D.D.S., an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Wichita, was re-elected to a second one-year term as chairman of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Board of Directors at its annual meeting May 11 in Topeka.
Also re-elected to one-year terms as officers were Steven D. Marsh, a Wichita certified public accountant, vice president and first vice chairman; and Robert L. Mullen of Lyons, administrator of Hospital District 1 of Rice County, second vice chairman.
Re-elected to four-year terms on the 15-person member board at the annual policyholders’ meeting were Dr. Alley; Robin R. LacKamp, senior vice president, Peoples Exchange Bank, Concordia; and Thomas C. Simpson, M.D., family practice physician, Sterling.
Other members of the board are: Leon J. Boor, Abilene; Harold D. Dufek, Hutchinson; Rex R. Fischer, M.D., Manhattan; Michael M. Mattox, Topeka; Edward J. Miller, Iola; Louis E. (Gene) Mosiman, Topeka; W. Paxson St. Clair Jr., Independence; Gary D. Shorman, Hays; Susan M. Smith, Wichita; and Alfred F. Wasinger, Hutchinson.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. BCBSKS is the state's largest health insurer, serving all Kansas counties except Johnson and Wyandotte.
