Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Employees, Foundation Give $236,690 to United Way Campaigns in the State

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Foundation donated a total of $236,690.40 this fall to United Way campaigns in Topeka, Salina, Wichita and Hutchinson.

In Topeka, where approximately 1,350 employees work, President/CEO Andrew C. Corbin presented officials from the United Way of Greater Topeka with a check in the amount of $219,197.84. The check represents an employee contribution of $184,197.84 as well as a $35,000 donation from the BCBSKS Foundation.

In Salina, home to about 50 BCBSKS employees, donations totaling $6,577.16 have been donated to the Salina Area United Way by employees and the BCBSKS Foundation. In Wichita, where BCBSKS has about 30 people, $9,043.40 has been donated by employees and the BCBSKS Foundation in support of the United Way of the Plains’ annual campaign drive. A dozen employees in Hutchinson raised $1,872 for the United Way of Reno County.
