Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Earns Third Consecutive Brand Excellence Award for Provider Satisfaction
For the third consecutive year, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has received a prestigious Brand Excellence Award for provider satisfaction from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), according to leaders from the two organizations. The annual awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies that excel in developing and enhancing the overall Blue Cross and Blue Shield brand image.
“This marks the 15th year BCBSA has presented Brand Excellence Awards to Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies demonstrating exceptional performance in building the most recognized brands in the health insurance industry,” said Scott P. Serota, BCBSA president and CEO. “BCBSA congratulates Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas for their leadership in strengthening the Brands that collectively cover the lives of nearly 100 million Americans.”
BCBSKS earned a Brand Excellence Award in the Provider Satisfaction category for receiving the highest rating from its provider network among all Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies.
“There is no doubt in my mind that it’s challenging to maintain and improve such high levels of satisfaction year after year, but I’m not surprised our employees are able to do it,” said Andrew C. Corbin, BCBSKS president/CEO. “Our employees are dedicated to providing outstanding service to not only our members but also, as this award illustrates, to those provider partners who serve our members as well.
“Providers know that when they join our network they will receive outstanding service, quick and accurate payment of claims, and will have access to top-notch educational and training programs,” he said.
The Brand Excellence Awards honor Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies nationwide in categories that represent Brand Excellence including, attraction of new customers, fostering loyalty to existing customers, expanding the brands into additional lines of products or services, and provider satisfaction.
This marks the eighth overall Brand Excellence Award for BCBSKS, which previously earned awards in 1995-1998, and in 2001, 2008 and 2009.
