Sloan Re-elected Chairman, Four Kansans Elected to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Board of Directors
Steve W. Sloan, Pittsburg, was re-elected to a second, one-year term as chairman of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Board of Directors at its annual meeting May 8 in Topeka. Diane L. Lee, CPA, CSEP, Hutchinson, was re-elected to a second, one-year term as vice chairman.
Sloan, president and CEO of Midwest Minerals, Inc. since 1995, has served on the board since 2008. Lee, who also joined the board in 2008, is a certified public account with Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk and Loyd, LLC.
Directors elected to four-year terms at the meeting were James M. Alley, III, D.D.S., oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Wichita; Robin R. LacKamp, vice president and director of human resources, American State Bancshares, Inc., Rose Hill; Thomas C. Simpson, M.D., retired family physician, Sterling; and Cathy Mih Taylor, M.D., physician (OB/GYN), Neosho County Memorial Hospital, Chanute.
Other members of the board are Leon J. Boor, Abilene; Andrew C. Corbin, Topeka; Leonard R. Hernandez, Wellington; Steven D. Marsh, Wichita; Edward J. Miller, Iola; Louis E. (Gene) Mosiman, Topeka; Robert L. Mullen, Manhattan; Gary D. Shorman, Hays; Susan M. Smith, Wichita; and, Kenneth W. Winter, Dodge City.
