Secure Access Provider Profiles Deleted

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas web site requires individuals to establish a secure access before accessing certain areas of the site (i.e. precertification, eligibility, claim status, etc.). Individuals who establish this secure access will have access to all the secured areas of the web site.

Periodically Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas deletes secure access provider profiles that have not been used. On June 20, 2010, BCBSKS deleted secure access provider profiles that showed no activity from December 31, 2008 and earlier.

On July 25, 2010, BCBSKS will run another clean-up to catch those profiles that were not used from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009. If you or a staff member did not log-in during that time frame and have not done so recently, then that profile will be deleted. However, if you did log-in between January 1, 2010 and July 24, 2010, that profile will not be deleted. Therefore, to ensure your secure access profile is not deleted, we encourage you to take a few moments and log-in.

BCBSKS has established a set time frame as to when secure provider profiles will be reviewed for no activity. Future secure access provider profile clean-up will be performed quarterly.

Reminder: If anyone from your facility leaves and therefore should no longer have secure access, please contact your provider consultant to have that person's profile removed.  Your provider consultant contact information can be found on the Web in the provider manual (click here for link to manual).
