For nearly 80 years, BCBSKS has played an active role in helping Kansans lead healthier lives. Those efforts continue today through National Walk @ Lunch Day. The day is designed to encourage busy people like you to take a walk during your lunch break and start a healthy routine. A regular walking routine can reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and be a positive influence on heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.
While we are getting closer to more in-person events with the success of the COVID-19 vaccine, the decision has been made to make National Walk @ Lunch Day a virtual event in 2021. Our excitement level is still high though, and we hope you will all make plans to participate on Wednesday, April 28! Please share a photo or video from your walk on social media with the hashtag #NWLDKS and tag us in your post. We’d love to see people walking in all corners of our great state!
Make your lunch a walking lunch along with tens of thousands of walkers from across the country at National Walk @ Lunch Day!
