Professional Provider Annual Workshop - includes 3.5 CEUs
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is hosting the BCBS Annual Workshop, a virtual workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. September 27, 2022. This workshop will take place through Zoom and offer 3.5 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).
During this interactive session we will discuss the lessons learned through implementing the 2021 E/M guidelines for office and other outpatient services, common documentation deficiencies and tips for resolution, and the changes to come in 2023 for other E/M categories. We will walk through documentation examples to apply the new guidelines as well as discuss opportunities for improvement.
About the Speaker
Rae Jimenez, CPC, CDEO, CIC, CPB, CPMA, CPPM, CCS, AAPC Approved Instructor - Rae has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. She is a nationally recognized speaker and thought leader in the business of healthcare. She serves as a coding liaison to the AMA CPT® Editorial Panel. Over the past 14 years at AAPC she has held a variety of responsibilities including leading the development of certification exams and exam preparation materials, overseeing the operations for the exam, distance learning and education licensing program departments. As the Chief Product Officer, she oversees all AAPC product lines.
Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)
This workshop has prior approval by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) for 3.5 continuing education hours. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor. You must attend the full session in order to receive all 3.5 CEUs and a certificate of accreditation.
