About the coalition
The North Central Kansas Health Collaborative is committed to working across county lines to align efforts regionally to improve the health of our rural communities. The collaborative strives to accomplish this mission through regional partnerships, creating trusting relationships and processes, and developing adaptive concepts and solutions so rural citizens can lead a healthy life.
The North Central Kansas Health Collaborative began in 2015 through a joint regional grant application to support interventions to reduce health disparities and prevent obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke in priority populations. Through uniting as a region, the coalition then had the capacity to coordinate and implement larger initiatives that would not have been possible individually. Coalition members believe in the value of shared resources, ideas, and perspectives that makes our regional approach unique. We are excited for the opportunity to work with Blue Cross Blue Shield through the Pathways grant to work towards a healthier Kansas
