Leonard Hernandez joined the BCBSKS board in 2012. He currently serves as a member of the compensation committee.

Hernandez brings more than 25 years of experience as a hospital administrator to the board. He recently retired as President & CEO of Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. He previously served as CEO of Coffey Health System, Sumner Regional Medical Center, Morton County Health System, and as administrator at Holton Community Hospital, Plainville Rural Hospital District #1 and Wichita County Health Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Century University, New Mexico.

He resides in Andover.
