CMS Telehealth Billing Change for RHCs and FQHCs Preheader: Effective Oct. 1 for MA members
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is changing how Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) bill for distant-site telehealth services for Medicare Advantage (MA) members.
Beginning Oct. 1, 2026, providers should no longer bill HCPCS code G2025 for distant-site telehealth services. Instead, providers must submit the appropriate CPT or HCPCS code that describes the telehealth service furnished, along with the applicable telehealth modifier and revenue code.
