Keep Your Facility Rate Up to Date

To ensure proper reimbursement, it is critically important for provider partners to help Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) maintain accurate records. 

Confirm Your Inpatient Room Rate

Contracting providers are required to provide their inpatient room rate to BCBSKS annually, per the Policies and Procedures guidelines. Room rates do not apply to per diem facilities. 

• Log in to BlueAccess through Availity to review and submit your facility's room rate using the following path: 
• Availity > Payer Spaces > Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas > BCBSKS Provider Secure Section (BlueAccess) > Select your Facility NPI > Resources > Forms, Publications and Procedures > Room Rate Registration Form
• The Room Rate Registration Form must be submitted even if your facility's room rate has not changed. 
• Any future changes should be communicated to BCBSKS as soon as possible through the same process. 

Submit Your Hospice Rate Letter

Hospice rates are updated to the contracting provider's current Medicare rate upon notification from the provider, per the contract agreement. Updated rates will be effective the first of the month following notification. If BCBSKS does not receive updated rate information, no change in reimbursement will be made.

• Submit updated hospice rate information on company letterhead and include the tax ID and National Provider Identifier (NPI) for all applicable facilities. 
• Information may be emailed to your Provider Relations Representative or mailed to the following:
