Update to Authorization/Certification Information on Electronic Transactions

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) recently updated the information returned in electronic provider eligibility and provider transactions to provide greater clarity on authorization or certification requirements.

Authorization/certification information will now indicate whether certification is required, not required or required for some services within the applicable service type. Previously, certification information was returned only when certification was required. As a result of this update, providers may notice a new look and additional information when reviewing these transaction responses.
