Offer Quality, Affordable Health Insurance to Your Employees

Have 50 employees or fewer? Use the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace to offer them coverage.

What is shop coverage?

The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Marketplace helps businesses provide health coverage to their employees.

  • You control the coverage you offer and how much you pay toward employee premiums.
  • Compare health plans online, which helps you make a decision that's right for your business.
  • You may qualify for a small business health care tax credit worth up to 50% of your premium costs.
  • Deduct from your taxes the rest of your premium costs not covered by the tax credit.

How can I enroll in SHOP coverage?

Employers with 50 or fewer employees may enroll in SHOP coverage. Visit the SHOP Full-time Equivalent Calculator and the SHOP Tax Credit Estimator to find out if you are eligible.
