In 2020, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas implemented a two-year rotation for the spring major employee giving campaign. For the two-year rotating slot, the supported nonprofit organization will be voted on and chosen by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas employees. The 2020-2021 supported organization is American Cancer Society. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has partnered with American Cancer Society as the primary sponsor for the 35 Relay for Life events in the Plan's service territory. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas has donated $20,000 to American Cancer Society and is supporting the now virtual Relay for Life events by encouraging employees to participate in the virtual activities leading up to and for the actual event.
