Medicare Advantage Prior Authorization Change
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) will not require prior authorization on transfers to Skilled Nursing Facilities. This change is effective until March 31, 2021.
Providers will continue to follow the current process to notify BCBSKS of the member’s admission by:
- Calling- 1-800-325-6201
- Faxing- 1-877-218-9089
This leniency has been put in to place to ease the burden of transfer authorizations during the COVID 19 public health emergency.
